Love it easy

Learn and Go up in life

Recently, we discovered that it'll be a lot better if we had "love" education, just like sex education in school/college days. We should have a seminar or a short 2 credit-hour course dedicated to this and it should be mandatory core-course. This course-work will be dedicated to teach young-naive people about the distinction between "Good" Friendship, Admiration and "Love" (only in Heterosexual terms). Two exams could be possibly held with bi-weekly practical assigments and a mid-term project.

Falling in love is a very complicated thing; many including me are still trying to figure out what it means. Getting out of it is another challenging proposition. So fall in love (according to what you define love as) only if you can easily get out of it. Orkut groups like "kuch khone ke liye kuch paana padta hai" tries to explain this using varying topics of discussion, ranging from childhood memories to WWF (note: many things in that community might seem irrelevant or unrelated, but in the end the true realization will dawn upon us).

The main focus of this couse-work will be to impart discipline to our thought process and anti-stress mechanisms (for stress caused by purely 1-sided love).

Any comments or feedback are welcome. Let's make this happen and liberate ourselves from the danger of falling in love, when we can't afford to.

  • Love is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of love, you really haven't learned anything.

Abt the danger of falling in love, "Do your best. Then, don't worry, be happy... Life not always a bed of roses!"

  • You took my case this time ! :) But yes, I do understand the definition of love baba..and I have learned the meaning of love.
Note: The article specifically focuses on love which is caused by a particular heterosexual attraction; not brotherly/sisterly/parental/friendly love.

  • common sal...Light is the hardest thing in the world to explain....so is the Computational Complexity of NP problems and so is "Morals" but we are all taught that......there are far difficult thiings to explain like...."Why did Gandhiji stop the non co operation movement"...."Why were we taught the same bloody history over and over again?" but we were taught all that....

i like gokuls idea. but my problem with it....if it would have been taught in school...then like all other things taught in school i would have never studied it.....

besides i dont find it hard to differentiate between all the various cateogires of love anyway....love is love

  • in any case we HAD Physical Education (PT) in school, but we clearly arent physically fit....

im sure if there was a love period in our school...we would have played cricket in that time....and girls would have completed their homework in that time.(man, how much i hated them then for that)

HEY wait a minute.....isnt this topic covered in some Hindi flick like..."Ab Pyar ka Ek subject ho!... and all that"...so this issue has been addressed previously in the past by clairvoyant movie directors.

  • @Swaminathans: Not taking ur case...
Dint know u were talking abt a specific definition of love, Interesting! For me Love is love...

@Siddharth Adelkar: If it wasnt that hard, it sure wud've been taught ;) I can c light & perceive & comprehend it.
Haha... but as u said, if it were taught, I wudn't have studied it :-P And, if it were taught... it wud become very stereotype. There wud b a definition, a formula, an equation, a specification, a design, a code to implement it... how boring :(
